    Protecting your privacy is important to Security National Corporation and our employees. We have established policies and practices that respect the privacy, not just of our customers, but of all individuals who use our financial institutions. We keep information about you confidential, but we may share information about you, as described below, with our affiliated companies, third parties with whom we do business and as otherwise permitted by law. The following policy serves as a standard for all Security National Corporation employees for collection, use, retention, and security of nonpublic personal information. 
     
    What Information We Collect 
     
    In the ordinary course of business, we collect, retain and use information about you to serve your financial needs, to administer your account(s) with us and to keep you informed of products and services that may be of interest to you. This information, known as nonpublic personal information, is collected from several sources and includes: 
     
  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms (e.g., name, address, and social security number)
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others (e.g., information about your account balance, payment history, parties to transactions and credit card usage); and
  • Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies (e.g., credit report).

    What Information We Disclose 
     
    We are permitted under law to share information about your account history and experiences with us (such as your account balance and your payment history) with companies related to us by common control or ownership ("affiliates"). See list above. 
     
    We also are permitted under law to disclose nonpublic personal information about you to "nonaffiliated third parties" (i.e., third parties that are not members of our corporate family) in certain circumstances. For example, we may disclose nonpublic personal information (as described above) about you to such third parties to assist us in servicing your loan or account with us and to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements. When we disclose information to these types of third parties it will be under an agreement requiring them to protect your nonpublic personal information and prohibiting the use of the information beyond the performance of specified services on our behalf. 
     
    We may also disclose information to government entities and to credit reporting agencies. These disclosures are made for specific purposes such as in response to subpoenas, to verify information for credit approval, or to make certain information a matter of public record such as recording a mortgage. 
     
    We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to any other third parties, except as permitted by law or as authorized by you. 
     
    If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice. 
     
     
    Our Security Procedures 
     
    We also take steps to safeguard customer information. We restrict access to your personal and account information to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information. We have implemented procedures to help assure that our customer’s financial information is accurate, current and complete in accordance with commercially reasonable standards. You should notify the respective Security National Corporation member bank if you receive information regarding your relationship with us that you believe to be inaccurate. 
     
     
    Our Internet Web Site 
     
    Visitors to the Security National Bank Web site remain anonymous. We do not collect personal identifying information about site users, unless you choose to provide such information. Standard software is used to collect and store ONLY the following non-identifying information about our visitors: the name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are connecting from America Online account, or iastate.edu if you are connecting from Iowa State University’s domain); the date and time you access our site; and the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked directly to our site. Visitors may elect to provide us with personal information via e-mail or our feedback form. This information is used internally, as appropriate, to handle the sender’s request and manage the Security National Bank Web site. It is not disseminated or sold to other organizations. Visitors should, however, keep in mind that e-mail is not necessarily secure against interception. If you do not agree with the use of this information, or are not comfortable with the level of privacy, please use the clear button in on-line forms, or cancel an e-mail before it is sent. Security National Bank will NEVER ask you for your Personal Identification Number (PIN) for your Security National Bank ATM card or Security 24 VISA Check card. If you are asked for this information, please call (712) 277-6500 and report it to a customer service representative immediately. 
     
     
    Protecting Children 
     
    Security National Bank does not knowingly solicit data from children, and we do not knowingly conduct on-line marketing to children. We recognize that protecting children’s identities and privacy on-line is important and that the responsibility to do so rests with both the on-line industry and with parents.
