Pickleball 101 - Clinic and Play

May 27 • United Sports Academy

Join us May 27th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for Pickleball 101, a fun and interactive experience to learn and practice the game of Pickleball. No matter your skill level or experience, this clinic is for you! This clinic will provide the basics of how to play Pickleball and give you the opportunity to practice what you learn. We have partnered with the Siouxland Pickleball Association to provide you with the best instructors and players in the Siouxland area.

Pickleball 101 will kick off with a brief discussion from personal trainer, Andrea Slade and Chiropractor, Dr. Grant Nobles. They will discuss the benefits of staying active with a game such as pickleball. Then, Siouxland Pickleball Association's own Frank Brienzo, Randy Hansen, Scott Briggs, and Carolyn Ellwanger will explain and demonstrate how to play pickleball. Following the demonstration, you 'll hit the court for some playing time.

*Must be 18 years or older to participate.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a paddle game that combines elements of badminton, ping-pong and tennis. It can be played both indoors and outdoors in doubles or singles. The game is played on a smaller court (similar is size to a badminton court) and uses a plastic ball with holes (similar to a whiffle ball). For more detailed information about Pickleball, visit the USA Pickleball Association website.
