Financial literacy is always top-of-mind for us, and we bet it is for most parents too.
However, a study by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority found that discussing money brings anxiety to about 53 percent of adults. The good news is, it doesn’t have to be stressful for you and your family. In fact, teaching money management and the building blocks of personal finance can start as soon as early childhood — and it can actually be fun!
How to teach kids about money
There are several resources out there to make money talks easier. One of our favorite is books — in particular, children's books about money that meet youngsters where they are in their development. Learning about money sets up your kids for lifelong financial success, and reading to them also makes for a great bonding experience as a family.
