Svagera Named Internal Audit Director and Officer

Kara Svagera has been named Internal Audit Director and Officer for Security National Bank. In her new role, Svagera will assume responsibility for managing Security National Bank’s Internal Audit Department.

Svagera will oversee the bank’s internal audit function, including its day-to-day management and its ongoing audit responsibilities.

Svagera joined Security National Bank in 2011 as a Customer Service Representative before transitioning to Retail Trainer & Special Project Coordinator. In 2014, Svagera joined the Internal Audit Department where she has held various positions includingSenior Staff Auditor and Audit Manager.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Dana College. She is also a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager and a Certified Community Bank Internal Auditor.

As part of this transition, Ellen Prescott’s responsibilities will shift in her new role as Senior Vice President of Risk Management. With more than four decades of experience at Security National Bank, Prescott will focus more broadly on bank-wide initiatives and advancements.
