Joe Quinn, Executive Director of the Iowa Lawyers Assistance Program (ILAP), and Kristin Gamble, Assistant Director of ILAP, will conclude the program with a presentation on lawyer wellness, focusing on mental health, substance use disorders, and resources available to legal professionals.
Credits pending include: four Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits, plus one hour of wellness/ethics, will be available for those practicing in Iowa and five Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits will be available for those practicing in Nebraska. Five CTFA credits will be available. Additional credit options may be available.

About the Speakers
Stephen W. Murphy

Steve Murphy is the former chair of the firm’s private wealth services group. He helps his clients develop and administer thoughtful estate plans that navigate complex issues. He is a frequent author and speaker, and he is a lecturer at the University of Virginia School of Law, where he teaches courses on trusts and estates. Steve also is the host of the Legacy Planning, Once Removed podcast on thoughtful estate planning.
Steve lives in Albemarle County, Virginia with his wife and their four school-aged children.
Joe Quinn
Executive Director
Iowa Lawyers Assistance Program
Joe Quinn is the Executive Director of the Iowa Lawyers Assistance Program (ILAP). A Drake Law graduate and former attorney with more than 30 years of legal experience, Joe is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Drawing from his own recovery journey and professional experience, he is dedicated to helping attorneys address mental health, substance use, stress, and well-being challenges while reducing stigma within the legal profession.
Kristin Gamble

Kristin Gamble is the Assistant Director of the Iowa Lawyers Assistance Program (ILAP). An attorney and mental health counseling professional, Kristin combines her legal background, recovery experience, and clinical training to support attorneys facing mental health, substance use, and career-related challenges. She is passionate about helping legal professionals find hope, resources, and confidential support on their path to wellness.
