MEET Tammy Flanigan

Q: What do you do at Security National Bank?

I am a financial advisor at the SNB branch in Mapleton, Iowa, helping customers with their investments, CDs, IRAs and HSA's. I started working for the Mapleton Bank right out of college. I had  moved back to Mapleton, gotten married and a position opened so I took it. I Started out doing student loans, opening accounts and helping with the Trust Department accounting. 

Q: What’s your favorite part of working at Security National Bank?

My favorite part about working at SNB is helping people I know reach their financial goals.  I know everyone who lives in Mapleton — and that makes helping them very satisfying. 

Q: Name one thing most people don’t know about you:

I love to ride my bicycle!  I would love to see a bike path through the Loess Hills, so I don’t have to ride on the highway!

Q: What else do you like to do outside of the bank?

I serve on the MVAO School Foundation Board and the Olson Scholarship Committee (both award scholarships to students of MV/A-O/CO-U).  I also serve on the MVAO School Board and am on the St. Mary’s Finance Board.  I also coach basketball for the MVAO Boys to make the winters fly by more quickly!

My husband Mike and I live in Mapleton and have 3 sons and one daughter and now have 3 grandchildren, too!  Best of all, the grandkids are close so we can spoil them!
