Security National Bank Announces Senior Vice Presidents

Jeremy Craighead, President of Security National Bank, is pleased to announce the following promotions: 

Angie Schrunk has been named Senior Vice President of Agricultural Services.

Angie's career in banking began on September 6, 2005, as a Loan Admin Supervisor at First State Bank of Mapleton. Her 18 years of experience with the organization includes managing multiple markets, mortgage lending, and business and agricultural services. Schrunk has served as Market President for Mapleton, Moville, and Lawton since August 1, 2011. Angie plays an integral role in the Asset & Liability management and Loan & Discount committees. In addition to her existing responsibilities, Schrunk will partner with the Chief Credit Officer on the development and oversight of Agricultural underwriting standards, policy, and procedures.

Angie holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Service and Administration in Agriculture from Iowa State University. She has successfully completed programs at the Iowa Bankers Association Ag Banking School and Consumer Credit School. Her active involvement as a previous member of the IBA Management Committee demonstrates her dedication to advancing the banking industry.

In addition to her achievements within banking, Angie is engaged in various community organizations. She serves as the Treasurer at Missouri River Historical Development (MRHD) and as President of the MVAO School Foundation. Her commitment to the local community extends to her roles as a Director at Woodbury County Cattlemen’s Association and as the Beef Superintendent for the Woodbury County Fair.   

John P. Heller has been named Senior Vice President of Community Banking.

Heller joined our organization on October 30, 2012, as the President of Northwestern Bank. Over the course of his career, he has amassed 24 years of banking experience. He was a previous member of the IBA Agriculture Committee. John’s experience includes managing multiple markets and providing consumer, business, and agricultural banking services. John plays an integral role in the Asset & Liability management and Loan & Discount committees. In his role, John will continue with management of the bank offices in Sheldon and Orange City and will assume additional responsibilities in the Akron market.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business with an emphasis in Agricultural Finance from Iowa State University. He also completed the Graduate School of Banking program in Colorado, further honing his banking skills and knowledge.

His contributions extend beyond the workplace and into the community. John is an active member of various committees and boards, including the Orange City Fire Department where he serves as Treasurer, the Orange City Development Corporation, the Sioux County Revolving Loan Fund Committee, Spalding Catholic School Board, and St. Mary’s Parish Board, where he holds the position of President.
