The Sidekick Savings Account at Security National Bank offers an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 3.25%. Eligibility is subject to Truth in Savings disclosure. A minimum balance of $1,000 is required to open the account. Transaction limitations apply; additional deposits are restricted to specific requirements detailed in the account terms. This account is FDIC Insured.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Consumer customers are eligible to open this product if they meet one of the two requirements:
- Owner of an existing Security National Bank Certificate of Deposit that has matured and they wish to utilize some or all of those proceeds to fund this account.
- Are opening a new Security National Bank Certificate of Deposit and choose to open this account concurrently.
INITIAL FUNDING RESTRICTIONS
- If funding the account from a matured certificate of deposit: The maximum funding amount is the certificate of deposit balance including accrued interest, though you may fund the account with a lower amount if you choose to do so.
- If funding the account in conjunction with a new certificate of deposit: The maximum funding amount into this account must be less than or equal to the initial deposit of the concurrent certificate of deposit.
RATE INFORMATION
The interest rate on your account is 3.20% with an annual percentage yield of 3.25%. Your interest rate and annual percentage yield may change.
Determination of Rate: At our discretion, we may change the interest rate on your account.
Frequency of Rate Changes: We may change the interest rate on your account at any time.
Limitations on Rate Changes: There are no maximum or minimum interest rate limits on your account at any time.
Compounding and Crediting: Interest will compound daily and will be added on monthly. If you close your account before interest is credited, you will receive the accrued interest.
Minimum Balance Requirements: You must deposit $1,000 to open this account
Balance Computation Method: We use the daily balance method to calculate interest on your account. This method applies a daily periodic rate to the principal in the account each day.
Accrual on Non-Cash Deposits: Interest begins to accrue no later than the business day we receive credit for the deposit of noncash items (for example, checks.)
Transaction Limitations: You may only make additional deposits into this account if the source of funds is directly from a matured Security National Bank certificate of deposit, or the deposit into this account is made in conjunction with the opening of a Security National Bank certificate of deposit.
If depositing additional funds from a matured certificate of deposit: The maximum funding amount is the matured certificate of deposit balance including accrued interest, though you may fund the account with a lower amount if you choose to do so.
If depositing additional funds in conjunction with a new certificate of deposit: The maximum funding amount into this account must be less than or equal to the initial deposit of the concurrent certificate of deposit.
TRANSACTION LIMITS
You are limited to six transfers and withdrawals (per statement cycle) to another account or to a third party by means of preauthorized, automatic, or telephonic transfer. There is a $1.00 fee for each transfer or withdrawal transaction exceeding six per month (listed on statement as Total Fees for Service-Chargeable Debits). ATM, VISA debit and POS transactions are not permissible on this account.
FINAL NOTES
This account is subject to approval. This offer cannot be combined with any other Security National Bank account opening offers. Offer only valid for one new Sidekick Savings account. Interest earned will be reported on IRS form 1099-INT to the IRS (and your state revenue authority, if required).
